Meet Zak Bonham, the founder and head craftsman at ZJ Creates. After starting Mesa Community College at the age of 16, he quickly found his passion in welding and blacksmithing. Upon graduation from MCC, he went on to attend ASU and received his Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in Sculpture. While attending ASU, he continued to develop his fabrication skills in the form of woodworking and metal casting. He also spent a year and a half working in a foundry, perfecting his skills in sand molding and metal casting. In 2016, he decided to start ZJ Creates; a custom bladesmithing and woodworking business that combines all his learned trades into an unusual form of making high end hunting, kitchen knives and cutting boards.
